Think Pink

In honour of Breast Cancer month I attended an event beautifully hosted by my amazing friend Marian and her colleague Effy.  A fun day had by all for what is a serious issue amongst women that holds no discrimination against race.  Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia with 1 in 8 developing the disease so please donate kindly.  Below is the link to which you can make a donation to the cause.

Light it Up

I'm sure to the dismay of my teacher's I have gone against and bought a replica.  I cringe as I type this but I adore these lamps and could not resist when I found them online for the price that I did.  I take comfort in knowing that some well publicised shops are built based on selling replicas.

Scarves for Summer

Summer couldn't come sooner, but in the mean time I will keep updating my wardrobe for the pending season whilst wishing my winter days away.  My most recent purchase this scarf print dress (on sale of course).

Bag A Bargain

Great way to spend a Saturday; at Glebe Markets good food, good weather & good finds.

I picked up these crystal bookends a bargain at $25
and this Italian crystal ash tray at $10 purchased at Junktique Emporium located just outside Glebe Markets

I think there is something very unoriginal about finding every piece of furniture & decorative item in a room from chain retail stores.  Homes I feel should be a mix of old and new, which will add character to the space, I think it's about making a space look like someone lives in it and not a display out of a book.  Markets are a great way to pick up someones old and make it your new.

Book Worm

Loving coffee table books on display.  Below is my display in my lounge room.  I think this is a really good and easy way to add layers and textures into any living space.

and some others that I love...
